Investors Management Group Premieres Original Multifamily Investor Event Series
WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Oct. 21, 2019 — Investors Management Group, a national multifamily owner/operator, hosted a first-of-its-kind real estate investor event series on October 15-17 with stops in Atlanta, Charlotte and Raleigh.
“Our mission for this series of events was to give both new and experienced investors an in-person opportunity to look at the real estate and Southeastern U.S. markets we’re invested in,” said Marc Gordon, Principal and CFO of Investors Management Group. “As more and more people move to investing exclusively online, it gives us a chance to explain our value-add model in a hands-on way.”
Over three days, the event series included tours of eight different apartment communities (totaling $238M in value). Led by Neil Schimmel, IMG Founder-CEO, investors got a behind-the-scenes look at both in-progress and fully renovated common exterior amenity sets and a variety of interior units and floor plans.
Kevin Crook, IMG’s Director of Acquisitions, said that “Neil [Schimmel]’s ability to spot emerging markets, reimagine living spaces and elevate the tenant experience- while delivering predictable results for our investors- is simply unmatched in our industry.”
Kevin noted that this unique event concept demonstrated the IMG Asset Management team’s success overseeing multi-million dollar CapEx projects. “Attendees really appreciated our level of transparency. As this cycle matures and competition for value-add product increases, so do the number of sponsors and strategies. IMG is unwilling to compromise on our signature IPA acquisition philosophy. Attendees got to evaluate us as a sponsor, and see that we’re true to our word.”
The event series featured a chauffeured, two-hour tour of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina with C-Charlotte Tours owner Gary Brigman. The day tour offered an inside look at the economic and commercial real estate developments driving the city’s growth. During a happy hour at the award-winning The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, IMG’s Principal & Executive Vice President Karlin Conklin led a brief presentation and Q&A session to discuss the outlook ahead for multifamily real estate investments.
Exclusive luncheons and dinners in Atlanta, Charlotte and Raleigh allowed a variety of new and seasoned investors to network with IMG principals, staff and investment partners.
